About Josslyn ...
Josslyn has spent nearly her whole lifetime around horses in some way. When she was just 8, she joined the Voltige team which was held and run out of Fallowfield Farms. This was a good experience where she also got to travel to the Royal Winter Fair to do a group demo with her team members.

When the Voltige team closed, Josslyn continued on at Fallowfield with riding lessons from Mel Gromoff and Sarah Jones.

She also joined the Horse club at Fallowfield where she was able to learn valuable knowledge on horse care and barn management. Josslyn has also taken lessons with Garnet Clapp, Rick Bishop, and participated in clinics with Daphne Haagmans and Belinda Trussel. She currently takes classically based dressage lessons with Eddo Hoekstra in hopes to gain more knowledge in the correct training of the dressage horse..

Throughout her riding career, she has ridden and worked with a variety of different breeds and disciplines, including Arabians, Western horses and games, Paso Finos, Peruvian Paso's, Warmbloods and even has spent time working at larger Thoroughbred breeding farms and track preparation centers as an excersize rider. She also has experience  re-training off track Thoroughbreds.

In 2004, Josslyn Became a Certified Equine Massage Therapist. She completed her course with R.M.T. Jodi Pendry, who has been an E.M.T. for more then 15 years, and done extensive  work at Woodbine with track Thoroughbreds. Her interest in taking this course was to learn more about Equine Physiology, learn symptoms and treatments for muscle ailments, and gain knowledge in rehabilitation practices to assist her in becoming a more knowledgeable trainer.

Josslyns current Horse Trials partner is Vicbrenan, a 12 year old reg Thoroughbred mare by Ascot Knight. She came to Josslyn as a clients horse for re-training in 2006, and after working with her for 2 weeks, she knew she had found the perfect Horse Trials prospect. "Vic" was a successful race horse at Woodbine as a 3 year old who returned to Stirling to be used as a breeding mare. She has since spent her life as a broodmare until Josslyn purchased her. 2007 was her first season out competing at Pre-training level, Oakhurst Horse Trials she came in 9th and Canterdown Horse Trials she came 11th. She shows no fear in cross-country or stadium, and will spend the winter working on the technical side of things to improve for next summer.

Josslyn also currently has her Rider 2 Level (old system) and wishes to pursue completing her rider levels and obtaining her Coaching Level 1.
